Mortal Kombat UK date nailed down

The upcoming Mortal Kombat game will hit UK stores on Thursday, April 21st, Warner Bros has confirmed to MCV.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 brawler was previously scheduled to arrive on ‘Mortal Monday’ – or April 18th to everyone else.

US consumers will now get the game on April 19h – two days ahead of the UK.

Mortal Kombat was officially announced last summer. It promises a new story mode, four-player tag team fights, co-op and improved gameplay, as well as the classic fatality finishing moves.

Buyers of the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie re-releases will receive a code to download DLC in the game.

Mortal Kombat originally hit arcades in 1992 before heading to various consoles. The fighting series has sold over 26m copies worldwide.
