Dirt 3 gets global release date

UK publisher Codemasters has announced that Dirt 3 will release globally in all territories on may 24th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

This will mean a somewhat unusual Tuesday release in the UK, much as is traditionally seen in North America.

The game promises "more cars, more locations, more routes and more events than any other game in the series" with over double the number of tracks found in Dirt 2.

Damage and weather are also key features, while rally driving itself has been significantly ramped up, now accounting for 60 per cent of the total career mode.

Locations include Finland, Kenya, Norway and Michigan.
