Popular drag-and-drop game creation tool continues platform expansion

Game Maker â??coming to Androidâ??

Middleware firm YoYo Games is finalising an Android version of its highly accessible Game Maker editor.

Game Maker – already available for PC, PSP, Mac and iOS – allows aspiring developers to create games without needing a deep background in coding.

Its simple drag-and-drop interface has been built to entice amateur dev enthusiasts, and has fostered a dev community since its founding in the late nineties.

The Android edition of Game Maker will likely arrive early next. The firm is also considering expansion plans for Windows Phone 7 editions, according to a Gamasutra report.
