Record readership for Develop

MCV’s sister magazine Develop is heading towards its tenth birthday with both online and print circulations at their highest ever levels.

According to Google Analytics, online readership for www.develop-online.net has increased by 34 per cent year-on-year. Monthly uniques in September alone were 108,052, with page views at 268,715.

Print readership has benefitted from a variety of initiatives, such as recent free subscription offers and the increasing popularity of a digital edition available either as a browser-based read or PDF.

Strictly focused on the needs of programmers, producers, artists and musicians, Develop was launched by Intent Media in November 2000.

"It is very satisfying to be celebrating a tenth birthday for Develop when the brand is in such good shape. We have become the number one source for development-only insight across Europe and even the print edition is growing its reach," said Develop publisher and Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey.

"Online traffic is astonishing, given that content is so focused. In print, Develop mails to well over 8,000 every month and we work hard to clean the list and refresh it every year, whilst picking up many additional readers via the digital editions."

The extension of Develop will continue with a free iPhone app, whilst events such as the Develop Industry Excellence Awards, Develop Quiz and Develop Football Challenge also offer essential networking opportunities across the sector.
