EA aiming for simultaneous Sims future

Publisher EA hopes that future instalments in the highly lucrative The Sims series could see a simultaneous release on console and PC.

The claim comes ahead of the release of The Sims 3 on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 29th. It arrived on PC on June 5th this year.

I think simultaneous releases are not out of the question,” the executive VP of the EA Play label Rod Humble told MCV. I would note that PC gaming worldwide remains a large force in games, including online.

I believe that The Sims 3 for consoles is an incredibly robust game and the best The Sims experience on console to date. The controls feel great as well, although at this time we are not offering Move compatibility.”
