EA: FIFA clearly superior to PES

While Konami’s PES 2011 looks to greatly improve on last year’s effort, publishing rival EA believes that FIFA 11 will help the company increase its market share in the sector even further.

Over the last couple of years, FIFA has been an excellent performer and we continue to grow market share over Konami,” EA’s senior European VP Jens Uwe Intat told MCV.

It also shows that our products do get better – FIFA’s Metacritic scores keep going up. We have a clearly superior product over Konami, which we did not have in the last generation.”

The two games are due a fierce battle at retail this year when FIFA 11 arrives at UK retail on October 1st and PES 2011 hits just one week later on October 8th.
