Games industry prepares to Move

With the release of Halo Reach just days behind us the video games industry is already bracing itself for the second big launch of the week – the PlayStation Move.

Though PS3 has always supported motion to a limited extent via the SixAxis controller, Move takes motion control on the console to a whole new level, thrusting PS3 to the forefront of motion control gaming technology.

Many of those wanting to try Move will opt for the 44.99 Starter Pack which includes one Move controller, one PlayStation Eye camera and a demo disc.

Alternatively standalone Move controllers cost 29.99 while the Navigation Controller can be had for 24.99. PlayStation Eye cameras retail for around 24.99.

We’re all really excited about the launch of Sony’s Playstation Move, and have seen a lot of interest from our customers in the new controller,” GAME and Gamestation’s head of UK PR Neil Ashurst stated.

For fans of PS3, this will be an absolute must. Move is an exciting glimpse into the future of motion gaming, and we believe that it’s a real game changer. With around 30 Move-compatible games planned for release between now and Christmas, gamers are going to have a lot of fun with this new device.”
