Resident Evil 6 news incoming

It’s one of the most bankable brands in video games, and Capcom has confessed that it wants to get Resident Evil 6 finished on retail shelves as soon as it possibly can.

Furthermore, the publisher reckons that the first news on the new game is not far off.

Given the great success which led to us Resident Evil 5, we want Resident Evil 6 to hit the market as soon as possible,” global head of production Keiji Inafune told Spanish website 3DJuegos, as spotted by 1UP. In fact, Capcom will have news about this soon.”

1UP speculates that this could mean some sort of reveal at The Tokyo Game Show at the end of the month.

Though that’s by no means certain, fans can at least be sure that they most likely won’t see a repeat of the four year gap endured between the releases of RE4 and RE5.
