Epic reveals first Apple title

Apple boss Steve Jobs has revealed that Epic Games is at work on its first title for Apple platforms, codenamed Project Sword.

Jobs was joined on stage at today’s globally broadcast Apple announcement event by Epic president Mike Capps. The title provides first-person action and will apparently deliver ‘epic sword battles’, as well as offer Game Center support.

Epic will also make its engine available for other iOS developers to use, effectively meaning something along the lines of Unreal Engine iPhone has debuted.

The announcement came as Jobs confirmed that the new iOS 4.1 will include the Game Center platform.
