XBOX: Gears of War 3 takes to stage

Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski and three others have showcased Gears of War 3 at Microsoft’s press conference at E3.

The live gameplay demo featured new Lambent mutants, locations and four-player co-op gameplay including female character Anya Stroud for the first time.

Bleszinski also mentioned a brand new mode titled ‘Beast’ – which will be playable at the E3 show floor.

Microsoft VP Phil Spencer said: "Everything you see from this point on will be completely exclusive to Xbox 360."

Gears of War 3 is due for release in April 2011.
