Killzone 3 confirmed

Its arrival was always inevitable, but nonetheless Sony has for the first time gone on record to confirm that Killzone 3 is definitely on the way for PS3.

However, an arrival in time for Christmas this year perhaps looks a little less likely now than it once did.

Speaking to GameTrailers, Sony America’s CEO Jack Tretton stated: Well, we own Guerrilla Games and they did a great job on Killzone 1 and 2. I don’t know if you’ll see announcements about it, but I can promise you a Killzone 3.”

Previous rumours had pointed to an April 2011 release for the game, but for that to happen an E3 reveal in June would surely be a prerequisite.

It has also previously been claimed that the game would support stereoscopic 3D and the PlayStation Move motion controller.
