Sotaro Tojima, former audio director on MGS4, joins Microsoft's Halo team

343 Industries taps Kojima Productions composer

Longstanding Konami sound director Sotaro Tojima has become the newest developer to join Microsoft’s new Halo studio, 343 Industries.

Some of Tojima’s recent work includes Team Kojima’s 2007 title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

The experienced sound designer will now take the role of audio director at 343 Industries, according to a brief Twitter post from the Halo studio.

"We’re excited to announce our newest member of the 343 family, Audio Director, Sotaro Tojima from Kojima Productions!" read the message.

This is not the first time developers have crossed the floor from Kojima Productions to join Microsoft’s Halo division.

Microsoft Game Studios hired high-profile talent to its internal Halo studio, including the hire of former MGS4 assistant producer Ryan Payton.
