DLC delivers $45m boost for World at War

After what must have been a prolonged period of number crunching, Gamasutra has concluded that 15 per cent of the total revenue generated by Call of Duty: World at War in North America has come from sales of additional digital content for the game.

In total this represents $45m, taking the average gamer’s total expenditure on the game across both Xbox 360 and PS3 to around $65. The average selling price for the title in North America is $56.

To date Activision Blizzard has released three map packs for the game with total downloads hitting around 7m.
