Sony Ericsson advances with App Store rival

Christopher David, head of developer and partner engagement at Sony Ericsson, said he wants to create a partner programme for ‘tier one’ developers that will include free membership and fast time to market. Among specific pledges is a ‘five days to portal’ for submitted apps.

Speaking exclusively to ME, David said: "Our mantra is accessibility. We’ll keep the barrier low with no submission fee or membership cost. We want to make the platform a one stop shop as far as possible. More specifically, we want to define a hero programme for the very best partners."
