US: The Conduit blasts towards summer release

Dubbed by many as the first person shooter that will revolutionize the genre on Wii, the developer of The Conduit has stated that the game will be released in North America on June 23rd.

Joystiq obtained the news from High Voltage Software’s Eric Nofsinger.

A European date for the game has not yet been revealed, but June 26th seems to be the most likely candidate.

Early reports on the game suggest that visually it’s ahead of anything else seen on the Wii to date. However, with recent adult-orientated games such as Madworld struggling to make a significant impact on the charts, it will be interesting to see how a title as technically polished as The Conduit fares at retail.
