Conference relocates after five years in Michigan

Future Play moves to GDC Canada

The Future Play conference is to take place as part of GDC Canada this year, from May 12th to 13th.

After five years in Michigan the event hosted by Algoma University of Sault Ste. Marie and University of Ontario Institute of Technology is to move to Vancouver.

"We’re excited to be joining forces with GDC Canada," said Dr. Bill Kapralos of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and chair of the Future Play 2009 committee. "We feel that the new format we will be introducing will provide leaders from both the gaming industry and academia with a unique forum to discuss the future of games and gaming."

The Future Play event focuses on three areas: future game developments, future game impacts and applications and future game talent. For more information, visit the event’s website.
