GAME appoints new executive director

GAME has appointed Terry Scicluna as executive director, after joining the firm on October 15th 2008 as chief operating officer.

Scicluna joined GAME from Alliance Boots, and has 30 years experience in retail. He has previously worked as managing director of UniChem and as COO at Alliance Pharmacy. He has also held senior roles at Thorn EMI, Brighthouse and Radio Rentals.

"We are delighted to welcome Terry Scicluna to our board,” said GAME Group chairman Peter Lewis. "Terry is an experienced retailer with a valuable track record of direct involvement in major business integrations. He will develop our dual brand strategy for GAME and Gamestation in the UK and Ireland, enhancing the Group’s specialist proposition."

Terry Scicluna added: "I am pleased to join the GAME board at such an exciting time. GAME Group has expanded its store portfolio and consumer reach dramatically over the last few years and most notably in the UK with the 2007 acquisition of Gamestation.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of improving, still further, the consumer appeal of both brands and delivering integration efficiencies."
