Japanese giant to publish Lost Winds in the Far East

Frontier partners with Square Enix

Square Enix’s new efforts with Western development continue apace – it’s now signed a deal with Cambridge-based Frontier Developments to publish its WiiWare title Lost Winds in Japan and Asia.

The game topped the WiiWare charts when it launched back in May 2008, and won the award for Best New IP at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards earlier this summer.

“Square Enix is a very successful, development-led organization with a total commitment to quality,” said David Braben, Frontier’s chairman and founder.

“Frontier shares those same core ideals and we are very pleased to be doing business together. Square Enix’s strength in Japan will give LostWinds the chance to shine there, as it has done elsewhere.”
