iPhone development jobs up 500 per cent

American technology recruitment firm oDesk has revealed that demand for iPhone programming jobs has risen by 500% in the past six months.

The number of jobs advertised per month rose from 30 to over 140 between March and September 2008 across the 100 countries covered by its online service.

"There is a huge demand for iPhone developers and people are quickly learning iPhone development," reported Adeem Basra, founder of one of oDesk’s iPhone development companies based in Lahore, Pakistan. "The demand picked up after July ’08. I believe we are still way under capacity."
