505 Games reveals We Cheer

505 Games has told MCV that the firm will be bringing the Namco Bandai hit cheerleader-sim We Cheer to the UK and European markets early next year.

Exclusively available for the Nintendo Wii, the title will be available in Q1 2009 and is sure to appeal to the mass market, as well as fitness enthusiasts.

Using two Wii Remotes as virtual pom-poms, We Cheer includes customisable cheerleader characters and considerable appeal for health conscious customers.

The title includes extensive and quick workout modes, complete with a virtual trainer to encourage the gamer throughout.

We’re delighted to have signed a deal with Namco Bandai to publish We Cheer in Europe,” said Tim Woodley, head of Global Brand, 505 Games. It’s a great addition to 505 Games ever-broadening casual games portfolio and a fantastic title that makes great use of the motion-sensing controls to create an innovative gameplay experience. What’s more, thanks to the comprehensive selection of licensed tunes, we’re confident it’ll appeal to a wide range of female Wii owners, young and old.”

Licenced music will also feature in We Cheer, including modern fare from artists like Hillary Duff, Boys Like Girls and Paramore, alongside more classic titles from disco divas KC And The Sunshine Band.

The tunes will be set to professionally choreographed routines including high-energy spins, kicks and twists.
