Japanese publisher suffers after departure of renegade designer

Tecmo stock price plummets on Itagaki exit

Kotaku points out that stock in Japanese publisher Tecmo has dropped ten per cent in value on the news that designer Tomonobu Itagaki has left the firm and is suing the company.

Itagaki departed the company earlier this week. The designer, infamous for his outspoken and frank comments, was responsible for the likes of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden.

He quit and sued Tecmo with claims of unpaid bonuses. Tecmo fired back in a statement yesterday.
