No-cost download goes live on Havok website

Havok Complete now freely available

After announcing its intentions to make Havok Complete freely available for PC developers at GDC earlier this year, Havok has now released the full version online.

Comprising Havok Physics and Havok Animation, the solution has been used in over 200 games across multiple platforms, including Halo 3, Bioshock and World in Conflict. The company says that it is making the technology free for PC developers to remove barriers that face independent developers, hobbyists and academic institutions.

Free commercial licences are also available from Havok, although licensing fees for Havok Complete remain for other platforms and for non-game applications such as redistributed game engines, movies, training and military or industrial simulation. More information and the download can be found at the Havok website.
