MCV partners with IDEF

All the big Euro execs will be in Cannes next month for the

IDEF expo

, and so will MCV – following its appointment as media partner for the fast-rising European trade event.

The festival, run by the French trade body SELL, is heading into its third year and is providing a valuable opportunity for UK dealers who need a face-to-face update on games publishers’ plans for the second half of the year.

With E3 not the force it once was and seemingly uninterested in European visitors, IDEF wants to attract Brits, as well as its usual contingent of leading personnel from the likes of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland.
The show will run at Palais Des Festivals in Cannes from Tuesday June 24th to Thursday June 26th

The IDEF 2008 will receive the usual key Southern European digital entertainment companies. Yet we welcome with great pleasure the unique MCV magazine as our new partner” said Jean-Claude LARUE on behalf of IDEF.

As part of its support of IDEF, MCV will distribute extra copies of its Friday June 20th edition during the show. This will be followed by a full review of the event.

MCV is the print and online media partner of choice all around the world for the biggest games events. We’re delighted to be working so closely with IDEF to raise its profile and widen its audience,” commented publisher Stuart Dinsey.
