PC Gamer Showdown set for September

The PC Gamer Showdown will boast tournaments on titles including Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2 and will take place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire over the weekend of September 27th and 28th.

Future is hoping to attract more the 500 gamers to the event, offering cash prizes for victorious gamers – but there will also be 1500 square metres of exhibition space up for grabs for the trade to show off its wares.

Registration for the PC Gamer Showdown event begins tomorrow (Thursday May 1st) at the event’s official site.

Future wants PC Gamer Showdown to become the UK’s ultimate LAN tournament – a three month online search to find our greatest PC gamers, with a fantastic live event to round it all off and crown the UK’s best,” said PC Gamer publisher Richard Keith.

Thanks to the strength and reach of Future’s games media portfolio, we can communicate this to a vast audience of gamers. The event is quickly taking shape, thanks to the support of Multiplay. There are some fantastic online and event sponsorship opportunities for the industry to get involved with the LAN tournament everyone will be talking about.”
