Studio to work on porting own mobile IPs

HandyGames becomes DS developer

German mobile games studio HandyGames has decided to enter the DS market.

The developer, which has facilities in Giebelstadt and Bucharest, is keen to launch its own IPs on the popular platform, and says that talks with national and international publishers are already underway.

“During the past months, we’ve been overwhelmed with inquiries concerning DS-production, and it’s not our philosophy to reject good long-term business models,“ said Christopher Kassulke, CEO of HandyGames.

Udo Bausewein, CFO, added: “Our competitive advantage clearly stems from our history. Mobile games are the interface between the telecommunications market and the entertainment software industry. High quality and meeting deadlines and budgets are a must here, so we are going to start the development of our future DS titles with exactly these requirements and experiences in mind.“
