Musika available now on the iTunes store

Parappa developer branches into iPod game development

Matsuya Matsuura, creator of the hit PlayStation music games Parappa the Rapper and Vib Ribbon, has developed a game for fifth-generation iPods.

Musika is described as part game part visualizer, tasking players to hit the iPod’s centre button when a letter flies past that is part of the song’s title.

"The iPod is a device that revolutionized music and it is now poised to be a progressive gaming platform," said Masaya Matsuura, president of NanaOn-Sha.

"Many years ago Apple’s tools first opened my eyes to the power of music and multimedia, so it’s exciting to release my first game for this device."
