Studio Gobo win the Develop Quiz 2017

Congratulations to Studio Gobo, who walked away with the plaudits after winning the Develop Quiz 2017 in association with Testronic.

In a highly charged night filled with many laughs and rivalries, it was the local Hove based studio that managed the top score of 29 out of 40, at the Komedia in Brighton on Tuesday. The rounds were filled with many puzzled expressions as contestants were tasked with putting their knowledge of gaming to the test.

The theme of the evening was Develop to Develop: The last twelve months of gaming. Teams had to guess the names of games from the past year since the last Develop Conference in a picture round and also a music round that played snippits of theme tunes. There were also question rounds including one on the history of the industry and a quotes round.

Some of the personal highlights included this image from the picture round:

There were very tough questions including asking what the BASIC acronym stood for, which industry figurehead left the industry to take up a position at Liverpool Football Club and how many development studios there are in Brighton.

Thank you for everyone who participated and to the Komedia for hosting the event (and for giving the quiz a good go themselves).

Next time though we might put some Love Island questions in there.
