Official TV ratings come in for the ELEAGE Major

The ELEAGUE Major final was broadcast live on TBS over in the States this past weekend, and now the official TV numbers have come in.

According to stats from ShowBuzzDaily the competition hit and average of 228,000 concurrent viewers during the broadcast. This certainly wasn’t the biggest sporting event of the week, with the NFL Pro Bowl destroying those numbers, but it is a solid rating for the show. The early start time combined with other competition means that this is actually a respectable number.

Interestingly it did not manage to beat ELEAGUE’s own record, when 402,000 average viewers tuned into the stacked Group D portion of Season 2.

The good news however comes from the 18-49 category. With 144,000 of the viewers being in that age bracket. This market is typically hard to reach on TV, and ELEAGUE’s percentage of viewers was a lot better than other offerings on the same day.

When you combine this with the news that the Major broke all sorts of records on Twitch then it really does pain a positive picture.
