First-ever African Unity Certification exam to be held at WAGE

Listen up, Unity devs in Africa: this year’s West African Gaming Expo (WAGE) will be your first chance to become Unity Certified.

Unity Certified was launched by the engine firm as a way for devs using the tool to officially mark a certain level of proficiency, with those passing the 100-question exam (spread across 16 foundation topics) given an e-certificate valid for two years.

The main aim is to allow job-seeking devs and students to shout about their ability to prospective employers when applying for coding positions, as well as offering exclusive materials and access to Certified dev-only events.

WAGE takes place on November 8th in Lagos, Nigeria and will host the first Unity Certification exam on the African continent from 3pm to 5pm. The exam takes around an hour and a half and requires a pass mark of 70 per cent.

Those interested in taking the exam can purchase a $75 ticket through Eventbrite, and must bring government-issued photo ID and their own laptop with them.
