Kelvin Tuite moves to studio working Crackdown 3 and Dead Island 2

Ex-Lionhead art director joins Sumo Digital

Sumo Digital’s Nottingham offices have picked up the former art director for deceased developer Lionhead.

Kelvin Tuite worked on a number of titles at the recently closed studio during his three years there, having previously been employed at EA, Deepmind and Bullfrog, contributing to franchises such as the Harry potter spin-offs and multiple FA Premier League titles.

Sumo is currently contributing to projects such as Crackdown 3 and Dead Island 2. Alongside its Nottingham outlet, the studio has a presence in Sheffield and Pune in India.

“It’s a great opportunity for the new studio in Nottingham to have someone as experienced as Kelvin join our team,” said studio director Karl Hilton.

“He will help us grow the capabilities of the studio and contribute his considerable knowledge to the games we’re developing.

“Every person who joins the new studio at this stage will play an important role in creating our development culture here in Nottingham."
