Cutesy platformer for PS4, Xbox One and PC announced at E3 2015 and released earlier this year

Coldwood Interactive extends publishing deal with EA for Unravel sequel

Coldwood Interactive is to once again unite with publisher EA to release a follow-up to its unique platformer Unravel.

The studio’s twee title, which saw players take control of Yarny, who is made out of thread, was announced on-stage at E3 last year, before launching to warm reviews in February.

“It’s been quite incredible to see the community’s love for Yarny, both in the game and beyond,” EA Studios EVP Patrick Söderlund said while announcing the extension of the partnership.

“At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners.”

Söderlund initially declined to offer more details about the developer’s next project, but the game has since been confirmed by multiple sources to be a sequel to Unravel. Further information, including a release date, is yet to be revealed.
