Steven Spielberg’s Halo TV show remains in active development – report

Microsoft’s Steven Spielberg-produced Halo television series is reportedly still in the works.

IGN reports the show is in development at Showtime – the network Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios was negotiating with last year to bring a live-action drama based on the popular FPS franchise to the small screen.

The report also states not to expect official news on the project anytime soon.

Xbox Entertainment Studios ended up getting shutdown in October 2014, throwing the production into serious doubt as most of the subsidiary’s other properties were promptly cancelled or sold off.

Word of the show broke more than two years ago, when Spielberg revealed he’d begun work on the project alongside current Halo developer 343 Industries.
