Wildstar free-to-play revamp enters closed beta

Wildstar’s upcoming free-to-play re-release has entered closed beta, developer Carbine Studios has announced.

All current subscribers of the game have access to the test, as well as non-subscribers who have received a closed beta key – which anyone can sign-up for by visiting Wildstar’s official website.

Carbine and publisher NCSoft confirmed in May the MMO would undergo a free-to-play transition, following the unearthing of a Steam listing that hinted at the subscription charges being dropped.

No word on when the official free-to-play edition will arrive, beyond the previously announced fall 2015 window. Here’s a look at the free-to-play version’s recently released teaser:
