New Need for Speed requires online connection

EA’s Need for Speed reboot will require an online connection to play.

That’s according to the game’s official Twitter account, who responded to a fan’s query about online yesterday (below).

EA announced its new Need for Speed title last week, saying that it was to be a reboot of the series.

Yesterday a listing on Xbox’s website seemingly outed the game’s release date as being November 5th in the UK.

This entry in the Need for Speed franchise will be the first since 2013’s Rivals. EA opted to not release a new itteration in the racing series last year, but did release a ‘complete edition’ of Rivals.
