Gunstar Heroes, Streets of Rage 2 among new Sega 3D Classics announced for 3DS

Three new retro Sega titles have been confirmed for Sega’s 3D Classics selection on 3DS.

July will see the release of 3D Streets of Rage 2, which as the name suggests is an adapted version of the 1993 Mega Drive side-scrolling fighter of the same name.

In August Treasure’s 2D action platformer Gunstar Heroes will also get the same 3D treatment while September will see the release of 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The 3D Classics collection will be bolstered tomorrow (April 16th) by the release of 3D Fantasy Zone II while next month will see the release of 3D Thunder Blade.

Current titles in Sega’s 3D 3DS digital library include Out Run, After Burner 2, Streets of Rage, Shinobi III, Galaxy Force II, Ecco the Dolphin, Space Harrier, Altered Beast and Super Hang On.
