God of War 3 is being remastered for PS4

A PlayStation 4 God of War 3 remaster is in the works.

This is according to publisher Sony, who announced the title on its blog.

This new version of Sony Santa Monica’s PlayStation 3-exclusive 2010 release will be running at a 1080p resolution. It will be hitting stores in the UK on July 17th.

God of War 3 Remastered also appears to have a photo mode where players can take images from within the game. This feature also appeared in 2014’s The Last of Us Remastered.

The last entry in the God of War series was 2013’s Ascension.

This is the latest re-release of PS3 and Xbox 360 title on the newer PS4 and Xbox One. Last year saw remasters and re-releases of Tomb Raider, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, The Last of Us and Sleeping Dogs. Meanwhile, Capcom’s DMC: Devil May Cry was remastered for PS4 and Xbox One earlier this month.
