Defective Samus Aran Amiibo sells for $2,500 on Ebay

A defective version of Nintendo’s Samus Aran Amiibo figure has sold for an incredible amount on auction site Ebay.

The $12.99 figure of the Metroid star is supposed to ship with just the one arm cannon. However, a seemingly one-off version was found sporting twin arm cannons.

The figure’s NFC functionality was (presumably, as the unit was unopened) unaffected meaning that effectively it was simply a one-off curiosity that remained perfectly usable.

Bidding ended at $2,500, a number arrived at after 75 bids from 19 bidders.

The moral of this story? Make sure you take a good look at the Amiibos the next time you’re out shopping.
