Mobile publisher believes studio could become "RPG-specific developer"

Gamevil acquires South Korean dev Waplesoft

Gamevil has acquired South Korean mobile studio Waplesoft.

The mobile publisher picked up the dev for an undisclosed amount, and has already announced the first game to be released under the partnership: Elune Saga, an RPG and card collection title.

Founded in 2008, Waplesoft’s reputation is based on its portfolio of social network games, but Gamevil believes the studio’s potential lies in it becomign an "RPG-specific developer", according to GamesIndustry.

Gamevil acquired multiple mobile developers last year, and opened a new Singapore office last month.
