SuperMoon Games gears up for first launch as founders "leave corporate gigs behind"

Former Zynga devs found new studio

Three ex-employees of social gaming giant Zynga have formed their own studio, SuperMoon Games.

The new development house was opened by Jim Vessella, Simon Armstrong and Kyle Van Meurs, who "left their corporate gigs behind for a chance at game development on their own", according to the studio’s site.

The three co-founders are self-funding the studio and living off savings, with the hopes that their first title will help them maintain and grow the business.

The trio actually founded SuperMoon back in January 2014, having started prototying their title in November. Now with the launch of Galaxy Dash – a game that combines endless running with space combat – due for launch next week, the studio is starting to raise its profile.

Galaxy Dash will be released for iOS and Android on Thursday, September 18th.
