Release date set for Civilization: Beyond Earth

2K Games’ Civilization: Beyond Earth now has a release date, developer Firaxis has announced.

The PC title will be released on October 24th, with pre-order perks for those who lay down some cash ahead of time – specifically the Exoplanets Map Pack.

Beyond Earth differs from past games in the illustrious series by taking to space. In reality it actually more in common with Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri.

Earlier this week a sequel to Civilization: Revolution was released on iOS, marking the first time a new entry on the series has debuted on smartphones and tablets.
