Nintendo reveals new 3DS game Code Name: Steam

Nintendo has announced a brand new game for the 3DS.

Entitled Code Name: Steam, it is a turn-based strategy game developed by Intelligent Systems – the studio behind the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series. Hitoshi Yamagami, who has worked on Fire Emblem, Pokmon and Xenoblade, is also involved in the title’s development.

The game also uses elements from third-person action titles, too. It won’t use a top down perspective as with the aforementioned franchises, but will use a ‘behind the shoulder’ camera angle.

The title is set in London and will have a steampunk theme, while the graphical style has been inspired from older comic books.

Code Name: Steam is slated for a 2015 release.
