BBC announces Stig-themed Top Gear smartphone game

Top Gear: Race the Stig is due for release on iOS, Android and Windows Phone today.

The BBC Worldwide published title is published by Mastertronic and developed by Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution creators Supersonic Software.

It’s an endless runner-style racer in which players must collect nuts while charging about in a number of recognisable challenge vehicles from the show including James May’s Amphibious Triumph Herald, Richard Hammond’s Oliver and the Indestructible Pickup-truck.

We’re delighted with Top Gear: Race The Stig as we believe it brings the brand to mobile and tablet gaming like never before. It’s an exciting time for Top Gear fans and gamers alike,” BBC Worldwide’s head of Top Gear Games Grant Dean said.
