Nial Ferguson becomes MD of Future UK

Future UK has appointed former tech and games boss Nial Ferguson as its new managing director.

Media Week reports that the appointment of Ferguson, who was made managing director of its games, technology and film divisions in July 2012, is said to be the next stage of the reorganisation of the senior management structure, as the company continues its transition to a predominantly digital business”.

The move means that his previous responsibilities in games, technology and films have now been added to by sport, music and automotives while Jo Morrell continues as MD of Future Women, reporting to chief executive Mark Wood.

Ferguson joined Future from Emap in March 2008.
