RailSimulator.com changes name to Dovetail Games

The company behind the Train Simulator series has rebranded.

Formerly known as RailSimulator.com, the company has changed its name to Dovetail Games as it looks to broaden its focus beyond just trains – including a possible move into console publishing.

In addition, former EA and Acclaim man Rob O’Farrell has been hired as executive producer.

We are still completely committed to our Train Simulator products and our extremely loyal fan base, but we know that in order to continue to grow our business, as we have done year-on-year since launching in 2009, we need to reach out into other new areas,” said CEO Paul Jackson.

This gives us the opportunity to explore new simulation opportunities beyond the world of trains.”
