Sony calms pre-owned PS4 game concerns

Consumers will be able to sell and trade-in their PS4 games, Sony has once again asserted.

You thought this one was already done and dusted, right? Well, an inclusion in Sony’s new PlayStation T&Cs yesterday had some worrying that perhaps there had been a change of policy.

The document reads: You must not resell either disc-based software or software downloads, unless expressly authorised by us and, if the publisher is another company, additionally by the publisher.”

However, Sony Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida moved quickly on Twitter to dismiss the fears, clarifying that: If you are concerned about our new European TOS, we confirm that you are able to sell or share your disc PS4 products, including in EU.”

The same T&Cs have also ignited privacy concerns surrounding the console.
