'Most of team' to be relocated before the 5th, source claims

Report: EA closes mobile studio in North Carolina

EA has closed its mobile game studio in North Carolina, according to a report.

An anonymous source has told The Escapist the publisher has shut down the studio, while the developer’s website has also been taken down.

It has been claimed however “most of the team will be relocating before the 5th”.

It is unclear how many employees have been affected by the closure, and how many of those will still have work within the company.

The North Carolina studio previously worked on freemium titles for mobile and table. Its last title was Monopoly Hotels for iOS, which was released in late 2011.
