Battlefield 4 could also allow for cross-gen stats transfer

Players of Battlefield 4 may be offered the chance to carry over their stats and progress from the current-gen to the next.

EA announced last week that those who buy FIFA 14 on PS3 or Xbox 360 – which is released in September – will be able to transfer much of their progress and specifically their Ultimate Team achievements to the next-gen version arriving alongside PS4 and Xbox One later this year.

Now Battlefield fans have been told similar functionality may well be offered with Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 is due out on November 1st. While we don’t yet know when the next-gen consoles will arrive, both are expected to hit the UK in November, arguably giving fans less incentive to buy into the game earlier on their current machines.
