EA: Maxis continues to support Darkspore and its servers

Darkspore and its servers will continue to receive support from developer Maxis, according to EA.

The publisher told Kotaku that yesterday’s damning statements surrounding the broken game’s outright abandonment by the studio came from a forum moderator not employed by EA, and that the assertions by the individual are not true.

Maxis continues to support Darkspore and its servers. We recently resolved a problem where players were having issues connecting to the game,” an EA representative said.

With the fix implemented, EA followed up on the matter assuring that the game is progressing towards being re-listed on Steam.

Steam is in the process of relisting Darkspore on their service. It should be returning in the near future.”
