Activision employee mentions ‘monetization modeling’ for Bungie’s Destiny

Activision and Bungie might be looking into a microtransactions model for their FPS, Destiny.

Superannuation sniffs out a LinkedIn profile for an Activision staff member working on the game. In the online listing, the employee mentions ‘monetization modeling’ in regards to Destiny.

Nothing specific about the potential inclusion of the model has been mentioned by either publisher or developer so far, but it wouldn’t be surprising with the successful implementation in similar titles like Team Fortress 2 and Planetside 2 in mind.

Destiny will likely launch in 2014 on current and next generation consoles.
