Nintendo teases Pikachu 3DS XL for US

Nintendo of America has hinted at an upcoming US release of a special edition Nintendo 3DS XL featuring Pikachu.

Polygon reports the company has run out a handful of teases, included the one pictured, pointing to an upcoming launch for the bright yellow hardware.

Nintendo first teased the model in a recently premiered commercial for Pokmon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, which arrives in North America on March 24th.

Further, a photo of a retail shipment of the 3DS XL in question has leaked, with rumour that it will arrive on the same day as the launch of Mystery Dungeon.

The Pikachu 3DS XL originally released in Japan in 2012, landing in Europe later in the year.
